Travel
Arriving at Mactan-Cebu International Airport is the most convenient way to reach the conference venue (TBA, but still within the Mactan area), where SEA-PEO 2026 will be held. The airport accommodates both international and domestic flights, with direct connections from selected cities in Southeast Asia and other regions.
For international participants, please note that if direct flights to Cebu are not available from your point of origin, you may need to transit via Manila through Ninoy Aquino International Airport before taking a connecting domestic flight to Cebu. Multiple daily flights between Manila and Cebu are available, making connections relatively convenient.
Ground Transportation
Most hotels and resorts in Mactan are located within a short driving distance from the airport, typically around 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions and the final venue location.
Participants may choose from several transportation options, including jeep, taxis, hotel-arranged transfers, and rideshare services. Popular rideshare apps in Cebu include Grab and inDrive. These services may require a mobile data connection or local SIM card, which can be purchased at the airport or nearby convenience stores.
Please note that there will be no official conference shuttle service provided for the conference. All participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the conference venue.
Meals
Meals and refreshments will be provided during the official conference sessions.. This includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks, as well as lunch, on conference days.
A Welcome Dinner will also be held the first day of the conference, providing participants with an opportunity to network and engage with fellow delegates in a more informal setting.
Please note that dinners and meals outside the official program are not included, unless otherwise specified in the conference schedule. Participants with specific dietary requirements or food restrictions are advised to indicate their preferences during registration so that necessary arrangements can be considered.
Cash and Payment Options
While Cebu has a growing number of establishments that accept credit and debit cards - particularly in hotels, restaurants, and major retail stores - cash remains widely used, especially in smaller shops, local eateries, and for transportation services.
Participants are therefore advised to carry sufficient local currency (Philippine Peso) for daily expenses. ATMs are readily available at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, shopping centers, and commercial areas around Mactan and Cebu City..
