NEW: Click here to download the solution for the exercise.
(Of course, there are other solutions too.)
All selected participants must attempt and submit the pre-workshop exercise before arriving at ThaiPASS.
For students with little or no Python experience, we recommend that you register and work on the basic Python ThaiMOOC by Dr Teeraparb Chantavat here.
You may also find our Python learning material on GitHub from the previous ThaiPASS useful.
The exercise is in the form of an iPython notebook which you can use Anaconda open (using the Jupyter Notebook application). You will need two files below (click to download - make sure you save them in the same directory).
1. The iPython notebook
2. The data
Please edit the iPython notebook and email it to thaipass<at>hull.ac.uk by 29th September 2019, 5PM (Thai time).
Try your best to answer all questions. We are not looking for perfect answers, but we want to see that you have tried your best!
You are welcome to send us any questions (in English) about this exercise or about Python. We will be happy to hear from you. Good luck!
