Purpose
We believe that our conference community should be open and welcoming to everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and respectful environment for all participants, regardless of their background, identity, or characteristics. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and the consequences for unacceptable conduct.
Expected Behavior
- Be Considerate and Respectful: Treat fellow participants with kindness and respect. Refrain from any demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior or speech.
- Collaborate Authentically: Engage actively and genuinely. Contribute to the conference experience and make it your own.
- Be Mindful of Others: Pay attention to your surroundings and fellow participants. If you notice someone in distress or a dangerous situation, alert the conference organizers.
Unacceptable Behavior
- Harassment: Offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or any other personal characteristic are unacceptable. Inappropriate use of nudity or sexual images during presentations is also prohibited.
- Intimidation and Discrimination: Deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, or sustained disruption of talks or events is not allowed.
- Inappropriate Physical Contact: Unwanted physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention is strictly prohibited.
Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. If a participant engages in such behavior, the conference organizers may take appropriate action, including expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.
Reporting Incidents
If you witness or experience unacceptable behavior, please report it promptly to the conference organizers.
