Non-Discrimination

NILAM is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. Discrimination of any kind, including discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, will not be tolerated.

If you experience or witness any form of discrimination, please report it to a meeting organizer immediately. You can report discrimination in person, by phone (TBA), or by email (TBA).

Harassment Prevention

Harassment is any behavior that is intimidating, offensive, or creates an unwelcoming environment. It can include verbal abuse, physical abuse, threats, intimidation, bullying, and unwanted sexual advances.

NILAM has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. If you experience or witness any form of harassment, please report it to a meeting organiser immediately.

Inclusivity

The NILAM is committed to creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters understanding and respect for all attendees.

This means that we expect all participants to be respectful of each other, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. It also means that we will make every effort to accommodate the needs of all participants, including those with disabilities.

Emergency Procedures

In the event of an emergency, please follow the instructions of meeting organisers and security personnel.

If you need to evacuate the venue, please do so in a calm and orderly manner. If you are unable to evacuate, please find a safe place to shelter and wait for instructions from emergency personnel.

If you see someone who is injured or in need of assistance, please help them if it is safe to do so.

Security Measures

NILAM will have a number of security measures in place to ensure the safety of all attendees, including the presence of trained security personnel, bag checks, metal detectors (if applicable), and other security measures as needed.
If you have any security concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a meeting organiser or security personnel member.

Accessibility

NILAM is committed to providing an accessible event for all participants. If you have any accessibility needs, please contact meeting organisers at least 30 days in advance of the event.

Meeting organisers will make every effort to accommodate your needs. This may include providing wheelchair ramps, sign language interpreters, and other accommodations as needed.

Privacy

NILAM will collect, use, and store attendee information in accordance with its privacy policy. The privacy policy is available on the meeting website.

The meeting organisers respect the privacy of all attendees and will not share their personal information with third parties without their consent.
