The ASEAN Astronomy Camp is provided for all applicants entirely free of charge with no registration fee, accommodation fee, etc. From the moment the participant checks in with the camp on 10th March to the departure from the camp on 14th March, the participants are not expected to carry any currency.
The details of the expenses provided are listed below.
Time period:
The time period at which AAC will cover the expenses of all participants is from the time of hotel check-in in the evening of 10th March 2025, until the departure of camp in the afternoon of 14th March 2025.
Expenses covered:
During the time period stated above, the camp shall cover the following expenses for all participants:
- 3 Meals and 2 refreshment breaks per day for the entire duration of camp
- Lodging in the evening of 10th-14th March 2025
- All travel expenses between camp locations
- National park fee
- All workshop materials and equipment cost
- Travel insurance during the camp period
Expenses NOT covered by AAC:
The participants are expected to find their own source of funding for the following:
- Travel from home region to the hotel (TBA) in the evening of 10th March 2025.
- Travel back to home region from the airport or other transportation terminal from the city of Chiang Mai on 14th of March 2025.
- Additional accommodation before the evening of 10th March and from the evening of 14th March onward, or any additional stay or excursion in the City of Chiang Mai or other provinces in the Kingdom of Thailand outside the camp shall be covered by participants.
