Angkor Wat - the world wonder and its other historical sites are, without doubt, placed on top off the heads and in the bucket lists of travelers worldwide. This former capital of the ancient Khmer Empire stands tall through the test of time since the early of the 12th century.
12th SEAAN Meeting embarks into a journey to Siem Reap, Cambodia for the first time, highlighting its effort to nurture Archaeoastronomy in the region. There is no better place to showcase the work in the field than Angkor Wat - the true heart and soul of the ancient civilisation in Southeast Asia.
A guided excursion on the third day (3 February 2023) will be available for participants at the cost of 20 USD. This includes transportation, one lunch and a tour guide. The tour will take you to places like (not limited to) Angkor Wat, Bayon, Preah Khan, Ta Promh, and Baphoun. Please note the excursion package will not include Angkor Park pass ticket, for which participants will have to pay upon entry into the heritage sites.
