Description
Small-scale astrophysical observations provide a powerful window into the particle physics properties of dark matter. In this talk, I will focus on ultralight dark matter and discuss how its distinctive predictions for different astrophysical systems can be used to constrain the particle mass. I will highlight the current observational bounds and the assumptions and systematic uncertainties affecting their interpretation. I will also discuss how these observations can provide information about other fundamental properties of ultralight bosons, including their spin, self-interactions, and fractional abundance. Finally, I will discuss how our own Solar System can provide new ways to probe the particle physics properties of ultralight dark matter.
