DESCRIPTION:TRT Cycle 13C Call for Proposals (1 September - 31 December
 2026)\n\nDeadline: 11:59 am (Bangkok Time)\, 14 August 2026 (Extended t
o 21 August 2026)\n\nProposals are invited to request time on the network
of 0.7-m Thai Robotic Telescopes (TRTs).\n\nImportant Note: \n\n\n	TRT
-GAO is not available in this cycle\n	There is a plan to update the filter
 s in the TRT-SBO to u\, g\, r\, i\, z during this cycle \n	All other TRT
nodes are working normally       \n\n\n- For continuing projects\, yo
u may resubmit your previous proposal. Please clearly indicate that the pr
oposal is a continuation and provide a summary of the status of the previo
us observations\, including any results obtained to date.\n\n- Target of O
pportunity (ToO) proposals may be submitted at any time and are not restri
cted to the standard Call for Proposals (CfP) periods. Such proposals must
clearly justify the need for ToO status and explain why the observations
cannot be requested through a regular CfP. Projects involving predictable
classes of events\, where the occurrence is expected even if the exact tar
get or timing is unknown (e.g.\, routine supernova follow-up observations)
\, are generally not considered suitable for ToO status and should instead
be submitted through the standard CfP process. Standard (non-ToO) applica
tion can only be submitted during an active CfP.\n\n- High school students
and teachers may submit their proposals outside normal active CfP periods
\, but submitting through a normal cycle is recommended. Please contact y
our NARIT advisor before submitting.\n\n- The TAC will be putting a stron
g emphasis on the past publication record of PIs and projects previously a
llocated time on the TRTs during the past cycles. The proposer of an appli
cation under these conditions must take good care in filling out sections
 C) and G) in the "Description of the proposed project" of the online form.
\n\n- You are required to read the instructions very carefully before maki
ng the applications. You must ensure that the applications are filled out
truthfully and as accurately as possible. PIs are responsible for the cont
ent in the proposal\, any misuse of NARIT facilities\, data\, or false inf
ormation may result in being disqualified from the application process or
any scheduled time slot.\n\n- Metadata of the data taken will be made avai
lable on the NARIT public scientific data archive. However\, the actual da
ta themselves will be kept proprietary for a period of ONE year after the
end of the cycle in which the data were taken. After which\, the data may
be queryable by the public or any user of the NARIT scientific data archiv
 e. In special circumstances\, e.g. nature of the scientific campaign\, etc
.\, PI may request an extension of the proprietary period which the TAC wi
 ll consider on a case-by-case basis.\n\n \n\nAcknowledgment Rules\n\nAny
publication resulting from observations and data obtained by the TRTs MU
ST include the following sentence\,\n\n“This research is based on obser
vations made with the Thai Robotic Telescope under program ID [ID]\, which
is operated by the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (
Public Organization).”\n\n \n\n\nThe Proposals will be reviewed and ran
ked on the basis of their scientific merit by a Time Allocation Committee
(TAC) nominated by the NARIT Director. TAC members include qualified resea
rchers from NARIT and other institutes in Thailand and Asia. The technical
feasibility of the proposals will be reviewed by the NARIT Operations Dep
artment. \n\n \n\nAutomated Asteroids and moving objects search\n\nStart
ing from Cycle 6C\, the PI's are asked if they would volunteer for their
data to be searched for moving objects in near real-time. The effort is
being led by one of the NARIT researchers\, Dr. David Mkrtichian. He is r
esponsible for the auto-search pipeline and writing a report to Minor Pla
net Center (MPC) if a new asteroid is found. The co-authorship on the MP
C report and subsequent publications of discovery are also offered to the
PI of the project which data are taken for. The PI is asked to indicate hi
s/her choice in the online proposal if they wish to participate in this
program and if so whether he/she would like to be on the MPC report. The P
I can also nominate one Co-I from his/her proposal to also co-author any
discovery of a new asteroid arising from their data. For more information
as well as agreement and rules of how your data will be used please see t
 his document.\n\n \n\nhttps://indico.narit.or.th/event/240/
