DESCRIPTION:\n\nDetail:\n\nThe successful conduct of the inaugural Southea
 st Asia Planetarium\, Education and Outreach Conference (SEA-PEO)\, held o
 n 25-28 November 2024 at Princess Sirindhorn AstroPark\, Chiang Mai\, Thai
 land\, organized by National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (
 NARIT)\, highlighted the growing need for a dedicated regional platform wh
 ere planetarium professionals\, educators\, and astronomy outreach practit
 ioners can collaborate\, exchange best practices\, and strengthen public e
 ngagement in astronomy across Southeast Asia.\n\nBuilding on the momentum 
 of this milestone event\, the Philippines has been selected by NARIT to ho
 st the 2nd SEA-PEO Conference\, which will be held on 23-25 November 2026 
 in Mactan\, Cebu. This opportunity recognizes the country’s active role 
 in advancing astronomy education and public outreach through sustained ini
 tiatives led by DOST-PAGASA and its partners. Hosting the conference provi
 des a strategic platform to further elevate the Philippines’ contributio
 n to regional capacity-building in science communication\, particularly in
  the use of planetariums and innovative outreach approaches.\n\nThe 2nd SE
 A-PEO aims to continue fostering regional cooperation by bringing together
  stakeholders from across Southeast Asia to share emerging practices\, tec
 hnologies\, and educational strategies that enhance audience engagement an
 d inclusivity in astronomy. It also seeks to address current challenges in
  outreach\, including accessibility\, digital transformation\, and audienc
 e diversification\, while promoting collaborative programs and partnership
 s among institutions.\n\n \n\nDate: 23-25 November 2026\n\nFormat: In-per
 son\n\nRegistration Fee: No registration fee will be collected from confir
 med participants\; however\, travel support will not be provided\, and att
 endees will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangem
