DESCRIPTION:TRT Cycle 13B Call for Proposals (1 May - 31 August 2026)\n\
 nDeadline: 11:59 am (Bangkok Time)\, 27 April 2025 \n\nProposals are inv
ited to request time on the network of 0.7-m Thai Robotic Telescopes (
 TRTs).\n\nสำหรับคำแนะนำการใช้งา
 นภาษาไทย กรุณาเลือกเมนู Instr
uctions in Thai\n\n \n\nImportant Note: \n\n\n	All the TRT nodes are wor
king normally.       \n\n\n- Target of Opportunity (ToO) proposals may
now be submitted at any time\, outside the standard Call for Proposals (Cf
 P) periods. These proposals must clearly justify the need for ToO status a
nd explain why the request cannot be submitted during a regular CfP. Note
that standard (non-ToO) application can only be submitted during an activ
e CfP.\n\n- High school students and teachers may submit their proposals o
utside normal active CfP periods\, but submitting through a normal cycle i
s recommended. Please contact your NARIT advisor before submitting.\n\n-
The TAC will be putting a strong emphasis on the past publication record
of PIs and projects previously allocated time on the TRTs during the past
cycles. The proposer of an application under these conditions must take g
ood care in filling out sections C) and G) in the "Description of the prop
osed project" of the online form.\n\n- You are required to read the instru
ctions very carefully before making the applications. You must ensure that
the applications are filled out truthfully and as accurately as possible.
PIs are responsible for the content in the proposal\, any misuse of NARIT
facilities\, data\, or false information may result in being disqualified
from the application process or any scheduled time slot.\n\n- Metadata of
the data taken will be made available on the NARIT public scientific data
archive. However\, the actual data themselves will be kept proprietary fo
r a period of ONE year after the end of the cycle in which the data were t
aken. After which\, the data may be queryable by the public or any user of
the NARIT scientific data archive. In special circumstances\, e.g. nature
of the scientific campaign\, etc.\, PI may request an extension of the pr
oprietary period which the TAC will consider on a case-by-case basis.\n\n
\n\nAcknowledgment Rules\n\nAny publication resulting from observations
and data obtained by the TRTs MUST include the following sentence\,\n\n
“This research is based on observations made with the Thai Robotic Teles
cope under program ID [ID]\, which is operated by the National Astronomica
l Research Institute of Thailand (Public Organization).”\n\n \n\n\nThe
Proposals will be reviewed and ranked on the basis of their scientific mer
it by a Time Allocation Committee (TAC) nominated by the NARIT Director. T
AC members include qualified researchers from NARIT and other institutes i
n Thailand and Asia. The technical feasibility of the proposals will be re
viewed by the NARIT Operations Department. \n\n \n\nAutomated Asteroids
and moving objects search\n\nStarting from Cycle 6C\, the PI's are asked
if they would volunteer for their data to be searched for moving objects
in near real-time. The effort is being led by one of the NARIT researcher
s\, Dr. David Mkrtichian. He is responsible for the auto-search pipeline
and writing a report to Minor Planet Center (MPC) if a new asteroid is f
ound. The co-authorship on the MPC report and subsequent publications of
discovery are also offered to the PI of the project which data are taken f
or. The PI is asked to indicate his/her choice in the online proposal if
they wish to participate in this program and if so whether he/she would l
ike to be on the MPC report. The PI can also nominate one Co-I from his/he
r proposal to also co-author any discovery of a new asteroid arising from
their data. For more information as well as agreement and rules of how y
our data will be used please see this document.\n\n \n\nhttps://indico.na
