DESCRIPTION:Primordial black holes can be produced from the collapse of la
rge perturbations generated from inflation on scales much smaller than tho
se seeding the large-scale structure formation.\n\nIt is possible that the
large peak in scalar power at high wavenumbers might induce corrections t
o the scalar power spectrum on large scales\, e.g. in the form of loop cor
rections\, endangering the success of inflation in explaining the observed
statistics of primordial perturbations.\n\nIn this talk\, I will give an
update on recent debates on the viability of such inflationary scenarios.\
n\nI will demonstrate that the 1-loop correction to a large-scale adiabati
c mode due to a band of enhanced short-scale perturbations decouples from
all detailed properties of the peak\, including its maximum amplitude\, an
d does not lead to an observable effect.\n\nhttps://indico.narit.or.th/eve
